Comparison of two measures for assessing the volume of food waste in Swiss households

• Food waste quantities reported using FWQ and FWD are highly correlated. Amounts in the share same psychological predictors. higher than amounts from FWQ. The huge amount of food wasted at consumer or household level has severe environmental economic consequences. In present work, we compared two self-report measures for assessment Switzerland. Participants ( N = 223) were asked to complete an online questionnaire (FWQ), which they instructed report average produced their households. second step, participants maintain a diary (FWD) 21 days.
